In a time when truth should guide our conscience and unity should bind our community, Arochukwu Kingdom is faced with a disturbing phenomenon, the emergence of a faceless media platform calling itself The Mirror Media Team.
This self-acclaimed “window for truth and justice” has, in reality, become a shield for lies, deceit, and criminal manipulation. Instead of reflecting truth, the so-called Mirror has become a dark screen projecting falsehoods crafted to defend one woman’s evil actions and her enablers.
Madam Chinelo confessing
Today, I am compelled, as a son of Arochukwu and as a witness, to speak plainly. Silence in the face of evil is consent. The people deserve to know the truth that the Mirror Media Team has refused to tell.
Before the passing of His Royal Highness, Eze Dr. Kanu Nwa Kanu Okereke, a grave cultural warning had already surfaced within Ibom village. In February, According to the customs of our people, when a woman in marriage is unfaithful, which act is infidelity, it's begins to pose spiritual or physical danger to a man’s life, the compound women must intervene to perform a sacred act meant to preserve life, when the woman refused to perform that, it's will forced the compound women on the act of saving the life of their son to separate the couple.
In line with that tradition, Chinelo was sent away to her parents, a decision taken not out of hatred, but out of communal responsibility to save the Eze. Sadly, the inevitable still happened, just as our culture warns, “if the two are not separated, the man will die.”
However, what followed after the Eze’s passing remains one of the darkest episodes in recent Arochukwu history. Having been traditionally separated, Chinelo returned to Arochukwu with the support of certain enablers, who rented an apartment for her within town. From there, she gradually re-established contact with her children and began to weave her plans.
According to her own confession, she poisoned her former husband through her daughter, by instructing her to serve him poisoned food. After his death, she went further to steal his ATM card, withdraw and clear the money in his account. Not satisfied, she attempted to gain access to another bank account by forging a death certificate. That attempt failed when the bank demanded additional documentation she could not provide.

Even after that, she reportedly began plotting against those she believed stood in her way, those who could block her from inheriting the late Eze’s property. Her actions, confessions, and the patterns of deceit have left a deep scar on the conscience of our community.
This story is not just about betrayal and greed; it is a wake-up call to every right-thinking member of Arochukwu to uphold truth, protect justice, and guard the dignity of our traditions.
But here comes a Media Without Office, Address, or Credibility; Before we even discuss their content, the first question every right-thinking person should ask is this: Where exactly is the Mirror Media Team’s office located?
Who are their editors? Who signs their reports? What platform legally backs their publications?
No trace. No registration. No newsroom. No physical presence anywhere in Arochukwu or Abia State.
How can a nameless, faceless group without an address claim to be the “window of truth”? Truth is not written from a corner of a rented room. It is not typed in secrecy by a man running stomach infrastructure journalism, serving whichever side puts food on his table.
The Mirror Media Team’s credibility begins and ends in rumor. They are not a news outlet, they are an instrument of manipulation.
Selective Silence: Why Did They Ignore Amuvi?
Ezuma Okpan, a true journalist speaks when it matters most. But when a young man was killed and buried in a salon grave in Amuvi Village, you and yours Mirror Media Team went suddenly silent.
You started a story, then stopped midway, deleting and withdrawing every trace when you realized your paymasters were involved.
Why did the Mirror Media Team drop that report? Why did they abandon justice for the murdered young man? Why did they keep quiet after being “cautioned” by the very people they now defend?
That silence speaks louder than their recent noise. It proves what everyone now knows: they only write when it profits them. They defend evil when it feeds them.
That is not journalism, it is blackmail for hire.
The Chinelo Episode: When Evil Found a Media Partner
Let’s turn to the real matter, the case of Chinelo, the woman at the center of the current controversy.
Facts now before the authorities and the community show a chilling chain of events: A murder case, forged documents, attempted financial fraud, and a series of fetish actions designed to harm others and gain access to the late HRH Eze Kanu Nwa Kanu Okereke’s property.
Mr Ezuma Okpan, Face behind Mirror Media Team
Instead of condemning these crimes, the Mirror Media Team stood by Chinelo, defending her actions, attacking her accusers, and trying to shift public sympathy toward her. Umu Aro are asking questions and need to know about the murder of HRH Eze Dr Kanu Nwa Kanu. Who tutor Chinelo on the idea to forged death certificate of her late husband. who sponsored the illegal bank attempt. who aided her after her arrest.
You have never reported her open confession at the police station, recorded in the presence of witnesses and community members.
Instead, you attacked anyone who dared to expose the truth.
That is not reporting. That is cover-up journalism, the kind practiced by people with dirty hands and hungry stomachs.
The Bank, the Forged Death Certificate, and the Stolen ATM Card
Let the truth be stated clearly for the record.
After the passing of HRH Eze Dr Kanu Nwa Kanu Okereke, attempts were made by Chinelo and her close supporters to forge a death certificate and use it to gain access to his remaining bank accounts.
But that was not their first attempt.
Earlier, Chinelo had already stolen the ATM card of her husband through her daughter Uchechi, withdrew and cleared all the money in one of the accounts immediately the passing of Eze. This was done secretly, long before she began the forged certificate process.
When that first fraudulent success emboldened her, she went further, forging new documents, including a fake death certificate, to gain access to the second account.
That attempt, however, was blocked by vigilant bank officials who demanded proper verification documents.
Not giving up, she made repeated visits to the bank, this time, First Bank Umuahia, with the forged papers, hoping to clear the Eze’s remaining funds. When the bank refused, she turned to more dangerous steps:
sending boys to break into the Eze's home,
searching for legal documents to support her claim,
and when that failed, turning to fetish means and poison to “clear the road” for herself.
This entire pattern, from the stolen ATM card to the forged documents, shows a deliberate, criminal conspiracy. it was systematic, traceable action.
Madam Chinelo and the community people
But while the police and the family moved to address this crime, the Mirror Media Team wrote long emotional essays defending Chinelo and attacking everyone else. They cried “set-up” where there was clear evidence of premeditated fraud and homicide crime.
That is not a journalist’s pen. That is a enabler’s tool.
It all reached its climax when Chinelo was caught at 1:30 a.m., carrying pots of charms and poison, allegedly prepared to destroy, wiped out the entire members of the Royal family and “clear the road” for her to access the late Eze's property.
Eyewitnesses saw her with the list members of the royal family she wantsdead. The community recorded her confessions. The police recorded the same at the station.
Even in that moment of exposure, the Mirror Media Team did not come to witness, verify, or report. They were nowhere near the scene. Yet they wrote confidently about events they did not see, twisting the story from afar to make the guilty look like victims.
How can anyone claim to write truth when they never witnessed a single moment of the event they report?
Mirror Media’s True Motive is Protecting and promoting Evil
Every word they publish is an attempt to confuse, to twist justice, and to protect the guilty.
They are quick to call others “desperate” and “liars,” yet they have never presented a single verified document to support their own claims. Their platform operates in the shadows, unregistered, untraceable, and unreliable.
The Mirror Media Team does not defend truth; it defends those who pay. They do not protect justice; they protect the hands that feed them. They do not expose evil; they polish it and publish it.
Let it be known: this is not a fight between individuals. It is a fight between truth and lies, between integrity and manipulation.
Umu Arochukwu deserve better than faceless media frauds. The Abia State Government, the Nigerian Police, and investigative authorities must act, not just to pursue the ongoing case, but to uncover the network of deceit that The Mirror Media Team represents.
Let every publication they’ve made be scrutinized. Let their financial backers be identified. Let those who aid and abet forgery, fraud, and public misinformation face justice.
The fact is that Truth Will Outlive Lies!
The Mirror Media Team can hide behind lengthy write-ups, quote Martin Luther King Jr., or call themselves “righteous,” but the truth remains unchanged.
You cannot polish evil into good. You cannot write lies into truth. You cannot bury facts under propaganda.
A day of reckoning is coming and when it does, Arochukwu will remember who stood for truth and who sold it for food.
The Mirror Media Team is not a “window to justice.” It is a curtain hiding darkness.
And like every curtain, it will be pulled aside soon enough and the light will expose everything it tried to conceal.
I will conclude, Ezuma Okpan my brother, As you defend the injustice and murder of HRH Eze Dr Kanu Nwa Kanu, may you and your seventh generations suffer the fact of Eze Dr Kanu Nwa Kanu.
By name remains Mazi Nelson Okoro Okereke.
